Blueberry-Watermelon Smoothie

Ingredients:
2 cups cut-up seedless watermelon (1-inch chunks)
1 cup frozen blueberries, unthawed
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey

This icy magenta fruit shake is wonderfully intense, since frozen blueberries serve as both a chilling agent and a main ingredient. (There is thus no ice to dilute the flavor.) The amounts of lemon juice and honey called for suit my taste, but feel free to adjust either, depending upon the sweetness of the fruit you use.

In a blender, combine all the ingredients. Partially chop with short bursts of power, then purée on high until smooth. Adjust the seasoning to taste.

Pour the smoothie into 1 or 2 glasses and serve immediately.
